Between the understanding of one’s own mortality and the recognition of life on Earth as a beautiful opportunity, there is a captivating and beautiful dichotomy in holding the concepts of Life and Death together.

The macabre Latin Christian phrase of antiquity, “Memento mori”, acts as a succinct mantra in today’s modern world. “Remember that you have to die”, it states, prompting appreciation of life’s fleeting condition.

Memento vivere (Latin: “Remember you have to live.”) supports the notion that life is to be celebrated. Have fun while you are here, and remember that life can start today. 

Use as an oracle, a decision coin, a worry coin, or a reminder coin.

The coloring/patina process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science so coins will vary slightly. Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques.
